A resolution is something we all do for fun. No hard-and-fast rule applies to it…!

It is indeed very hard to come up with worthy resolutions for the New Year, thankfully I did manage and now I thought I’d share my resolutions with all of you. :P

Food” is the first thing that comes to my mind and I must confess… 2009 was a very healthy year for me… 3 Cheers to Hyderabadi cuisine…!! All the fat I have been shedding all these years, Hyderabad gave me back!! To make it worse, I used to eat whenever I used to get bored. Now that life got me here back in Chandigarh, I decided to move on and leave behind my sweet and yummy memories of Hyderabadi cuisines. Yes, I have decided to (not) eat less but eat better food. :(

Dis(organized)” always bothered me and accompanied me throughout. All my friends, especially my room-mates would very well relate this word with me. And they would also laugh reading this. But friends, let me tell you. I have decided to say goodbye to “dis” and adopt the latter part of it, i.e. by becoming organized in every way…! Hyderabad left no chance to spoil me in every possible way. (Hey, don’t read between the lines… I am just being a little honest) I lived a happy jolly go life without adhering to proper planning, getting up late, rushing for office, surfing till mid night, partying till morning, etc. etc.
But now is the time to make life an interesting and safe journey. I would like to encounter with what is likely to show up in the unseen bends of life, how does it feel to get up early in the morning? How does it feel to be there before time? How does it feel to sleep early and how does it make a difference in my lifestyle?

Reading” has always amused me (Here I am talking about Cosmo, Femina, etc.) but never made me a compulsive reader (novels, journals, editorials, etc.). This year I plan to read a book a month. And by the end of the year I would complete 12 books!

Spendthrift” is an adjective associated with almost every single woman (My sincere apologies to all the respected men reading this note, I am being a little partial on this, but I am sure you would support me for this) on this earth. Living to a budget is kind of scary but it’s worth it! I really had no idea how indiscriminately I spent my money. Well realization happened and I am glad. Now I intend to be more careful…

Writing” was my passion since 1997 (class 7th). Yes, I had started writing then. I was always passionate about it but studies distracted me. This is one thing which is very time consuming (misconception) which now I declare as a myth. Now I can go on and on. I can write about anything and everything in no time (How pretentious I am). Writing occupies my mind and helps me relax. So this year I plan to include one more hobby in my existing list and i.e. writing… ;)

Smile” an ever lasting smile… Words from Boyzone… yes! You guessed it right! I plan to smile more this year and be more cheerful, positive and outgoing. Most importantly I would “Be Myself” because that is how I am and that is how I love to be. I love the way I am and if you say so, yes I am self obsessed. I don’t see any harm in it. Why don’t you try this too? :) .. :) .. :) .. :)

Well these were my resolutions for the year 2010. Have you decided on your resolutions for the upcoming year? If yes, I would love to hear them. Just add them in the box below and I am all ears to you! (10 days to go…… hurry up!!!!!)

Lastly I wish all of you a very “Happy New Year” in advance. “Enjoy maadi!” (Hyderabadi slang)
